Nigeria's Iheanacho pips Ebenezer Assifuah to CAF Most Promising Talent Award

Ghana youth international Ebenezer Assifuah missed out on the 2013 CAF Most Promising Talent award.

The FC Sion striker was pipped to the award by Nigeria Kelechi Iheanacho who enchanted the world at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.

Iheanacho, who is set to join Manchester City, was adjudged the Most Valuable Player and also silver shoe winner.

Saleh Gomaa of Egypt was also in contention for the award which was held in Lagos on Thursday night.

Assifuah was on the only Ghanaian nominated for an award this year.

    Some ppl will never listen.CAF awards have never favored Ghanaians after Abedi Pele's glorious feat.Then Sammy Kuffour,Michael Essien and others were supposed to win this CAF African Player of the year.Yet these folks at CAF omitted them..CAF,na lie.

    What do u guys expect. Kelechi won the u17 world cup and was d most valuable player. Asiffu finish was d most valuable player but he finished 3rd at d u20. No cheating here o
