Ghana's Under-20 management committee chairman Jordan Anagbla claims the country is not under any pressure to excel at this year's African Youth Championship in South Africa.

Head coach Orlando Wellington has been trimming the rough edges of the team in Naivasha, Kenya ahead of the title defence which begins on 18 April against Nigeria.

Ghana won the competition in Rwanda two years ago and conquered the world in Egypt later in the year.

There are massive expectations on the team to defend the trophy from a difficult group that comprises Cameroon and Gambia.

But Anagbla has cooled down the pressure on the team.

"We are the defending champions and are not under sort of pressure at all. The teams that are coming for the title should be the one that should feel pressured and certainly not us," Anagbla told Citi Sports.

"We are happy with the level of preparations and we’re getting our spot on and hopefully we’ll do our best to defend the trophy."

Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively revealed the final 21-man squad for the competition on Monday.

The semi-finalists at the tournament to be played from 17 April to 1 May will represent the continent at the 2011 Fifa World Cup in Colombia.
