Nyantakyi's league revival plans start, team CEOs set for Club Licensing seminar

The president of Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi's plans for reviving the league will hit the ground running from next week with a seminar for the CEOs of all the Premier League teams to boost their knowledge and capacity over the modern methods of running clubs.

Following his new mandate as the GFA president on Tuesday, Nyantakyi announced his plans of reviving spectatoring the local league and a key part of that is the implementation of the Club Licensing System in Ghana.

In line with the promise, the GFA will organize a two-day Club Licensing Seminar in Accra in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football.

The residential seminar will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday August 26th and 27th respectively at the Alisa Hotel.

The seminar will be addressed by CAF resource persons from Namibia, Nigeria and South Africa. Nigeria's Paul Bassey will speak on Infrastructure while Willy Kapukare, from Namibia, will speak on the Sporting aspect of the Club licensing.

South Africa's football marketing expert, Kabelo Bosilong, will also take participants through Legal, Finance and Administration.

Chief Executive Officers of all 16 Premier League Clubs have been invited to participate in the seminar with Officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Authority set to attend.

The seminar is part of process to get clubs ready for the full implementation of the club licensing in Ghana.
