Hearts mercurial midfielder Obed Ansah inched closer to gaining full match fitness after scoring for Hearts of Oak in their 3-2 over their Amidaus Professionals counterparts.

Ansah had been out since the start of the season and went under the knife eight weeks ago but returned to training last two weeks.

Interim Hearts head coach Ben Adjei wants the midfield workhorse to gain more full fitness and asked him to join the second team for their reserve game at the Tema Park.

The 28-year-old restored parity for Hearts four minutes after the interval after Titus Glover had put Amidaus 2-1 in front.

Richard Lartey scored first in the curtain-raiser in a hot atmosphere in the habour city but Maxwell Boakye pecked the scoring for the young Phobians but Glover restored the lead for the host.

Ansah then levelled up for Hearts in the 49th minute with a signature finish before Isaac Mensah sealed the victory for Hearts.

Their seniors face-off at the same venue at 1500 GMT.
