Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew scored with a rasping drive just outside of the box for Aston Villa in their stalemate at Newcastle United.

Meanwhile Spain-born Inaki Dannis Williams scored the second goal for Athletic Bilbao in their 2-0 win over Levante

Albert Adomah scored under Jose Mourinho's watch at the Amex Stadium for Middlesbrough while Johnathan Opoku Agyemang and Erich Berko scored in the Dutch and German lower-tiers respectively.

NETHERLANDS

FC Twente's miseries continued in the Eredivisie as they suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat at Vitesse Arnhem. Former Ghana U20 triallist Shadrach Eghan warmed the Twente bench but Manchester City loanee Thomas Agyepong was not in their squad for the due to injury.

Derrick Luckassen played in central midfield for AZ Alkmaar when they were held to a 2-2 draw by FC Utrecht. Dutch-born Ghanaian prodigy Rodney Antwi was not in the Utrecht team for the game.

Marcel Appiah reclaimed his starting spot in the NEC Nijmegen team and played the entire match in their 3-1 win over Feyenoord Rotterdam.

Both Marvin Ofori-Appiah and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom were excluded from the Roda JC squad when they lost 3-2 against Willem II. But Dutch-born attacker Edwin Gyasi played until he was replaced in the second-half.

There was no Johan Kappelhof in the FC Groningen team that lost 2-1 at Heracles Almelo.

In the Eerste Divisie, Manchester City loanee Divine Naah came off the NAC Breda bench in the 73rd minute to play in their 1-0 win at Almere City.

Former Eredivisie campaigners VVV Venlo thumped Emmen 4-1 on Friday and Dutch-born Ghanaian Johnathan Opoku Agyemang scored the second goal for Venlo. In the Emmen team was Dutch-born Ghanaian Aruba international Erixon Danso. But AZ Alkmaar loanee Raymond Gyasi was not in the Emmen team for the game.

BELGIUM

Midfielder Bennard Kumordzi earned his first playing minutes in 18 months after coming off the bench to replace Yoni Buyens for Genk in their 3-0 win against St Truiden.

Frank Acheampong returned from injury to assist a goal for Anderlecht and played 69 minutes as they defeated Club Brugge 4-1 in the Pro League. He was booked in the first-half.

Benjamin Tetteh was not in the Standard Liege team that lost 4-1 KV Oostende with ten men.

Nana Akwasi Asare played the entire 90 minutes for Gent when they posted a 3-0 win over Kortrijk. Former New Edubiase United midfielder Asiedu Attobrah failed to make the Kortrijk squad for the game.

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau played the full 90 minutes Westerlo when they won 2-1 against Sporting Charleroi.

Samuel Asamoah was booked in the 10th minute and played 81 minutes for Lokeren when they won 3-1 against KV Mechelen.

Former Liberty Professionals youth team forward Eugene Ansah lost his place in the Lokeren team that drew 1-1 with Zulte-Waregem. But Belgian-born Ghanaian Denis Odoi played the entire game for Lokeren.

In the Second Division, none of the seven Ghanaian players in the Lierse SK team made their squad when they won 2-1 against Deinze.

But former Ghana youth international striker Kwame Nsor came off the FC Seraing bench to replace Petar Bojovic in the 58th minute when they succumbed to a 2-0 home loss against Tubize.

There was no William Acheampong in the FC Antwerp side that beat Patro Eisden 4-1.

ENGLAND

Ghana defender Baba Rahman warmed the Chelsea bench for their 3-1 home win against Sunderland following the departure of Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile at the Goodison Park Leicester City continued their dominance in the Premier League by travelling to beat Everton 3-2. Utility Ghana wideman Jeffrey Schlupp watched the game from the screens in the hospital.

Ghana-born Norway international Alexander Tettey scored for Norwich City and helped to a memorable 2-0 win over Manchester United at the Old Trafford.

English-born Ghanaian starlet Joshua Onomah lost his place in the Tottenham Hotspur side that won 2-0 at Southampton.

Andre Ayew was in action for Swansea City as they took on West Ham United on Sunday. The game ended 0-0.

Bournemouth perpetuated their winning streak in the Premier League after being West Bromwich Albion 2-1 in an away fixture. Ghana's Christian Atsu failed to make the Cherries squad for the game due to injury.

Striker Jordan Ayew struck in the 61st minute steal a point for under-performing Aston Villa and deny Newcastle United a win at the St James' Park.

Former Liberty Professionals boy Koby Arthur failed to make the Birmingham City squad for their 1-0 home triumph over Cardiff City.

Injured Ghanaian forward Grejohn Kyei missed Stade Reims' 2-0 away loss at Bastia.

Striker Majeed Waris returned from a six-game suspension to play for Lorient in their 0-0 draw with Nantes on Saturday.

2015 CAF Youth Player of the Year nominee Yaw Yeboah was axed from the Lille squad for their 1-1 draw at Toulouse on Saturday.

Ghana youth defender Emmanuel Ntim played the 90 minutes for Valenciennes when they split points with FC Paris in a 1-1 draw.

Ghanaian sensation Gideon Jung played 81 minutes and was replaced by Ivica Olic when his Hamburg SV side were beaten 1-0 by visiting Augsburg. There was no Daniel Opare in the Augsburg squad for the game.

Defender Davidson Drobo-Ampem broke into the St Pauli first team squad but warmed their bench when they lost 2-1 against Karlsruher on Friday.

Eintracht Braunschweig played a pulsating 1-1 draw with Kaiserslautern on Sunday. Black Stars full-back Philemon Ofosu-Ayeh assisted the goal for Braunschweig while central defender Joseph Baffo played for Braunschweig. Midfielder Manfred Osei-Kwadwo came off the Kaiserslautern bench in the 59th minute to play in the game.

In the Liga 3, former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Evans Nyarko played for Holstein Kiel when they lost 4-0 against visiting Hallescher.

German-born Ghanaian forward Erich Berko scored the opening goal for Stuttgarter Kickers in their 2-2 draw with VfL Osnabruck.

Ghana-born Canada international Randy Edwini-Bonsu played for Aalen when they lost 2-0 against Fortuna Koln. Defender Kwame Kusi was not in the Koln squad for the game.

Inaki Williams scored the second goal for Athletic Bilbao in their 2-0 win against Levante on Sunday.

Thomas Partey came off the Atletico Madrid bench in the 64th minute to play in their 1-0 loss at Malaga. The former Tema Youth midfielder was booked in the 83rd minute.

Bernard Mensah was axed from the Getafe team for their 2-2 draw at Valencia on Saturday.

But Wakaso Mubarak returned from injury to warm the bench for Las Palmas when they lost 1-0 at Espanyol.
