In one of the rare scenes in world football, Kotoko coach Michael Osei shed uncontrollable tears that can fill a river after a heavy demolition in Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors were hammered 4-1 by a struggling side Dwarfs in their Ghana Premier League match on Wednesday, sparking the torrential rain of tears.

The defeat which dented their chances of closing in on arch rivals Hearts of went down in the history of the club as one of its worst defeats.

To be in charge of the club and be directly associated with the bad parts of its history should generate some worry for any coach.

But as a legend of the club and with supporters of the club waiting in the wings with their piercing bouts of verbal abuse, Osei knew what was at stake.

Dwarfs coach Prosper Nartey took advantage of the situation by rubbing more salt into Osei's wounds by slamming the Porcupines as an 'ordinary' side.

“Kotoko is Kotoko because what they did was those days not now, it is about playing on the field, so I told them [Dwarfs players] that Kotoko is Kotoko because of what they did several years ago but we are in 2016, and it is about football,” Narteh said.

“I told them to have confidence, and they can beat Kotoko, and we have beaten them hands down, from 0 minutes to the 90th minute we were on top of the game.

“We played a very strong Kotoko side they were tactically discipline because I have watched their clip so I was able to map up a tactical plan against them that is why we reduced them to an ordinary side.”
