PL/15:00 Games Half Time Scores

Published on: 23 April 2016

AFC Bournemouth 1 – 2 Chelsea

Goals:  Pedro 5', E. Hazard 34', T. Elphick 36'

The visitors took the lead early on through Pedro, before Hazard’s first league goal of the season doubled their advantage shortly after the half-hour mark. However, that two-goal lead lasted just 92 seconds, as Elphick headed home from a fantastic cross by Francis to haul Howe’s side back into the game.

Aston Villa 1 – 2 Southampton

Goals: S. Long 15', D. Tadic 39’, A. Westwood 45'+

For the most part of the opening 45, the hosts were poor. Southampton were allowed far too much space and could pass the ball around with ease. Koeman will be eager his side don't let this lead slip and will want another goal to kill Villa off.

Liverpool 2 – 0 Newcastle United

Goals: D. Sturridge 2', A. Lallana 30'

Daniel Sturridge opened the scoring after just over 60 seconds and the Reds didn't look back, adding another through Adam Lallana as they appear on course for a fourth successive league victory. Defeat for Newcastle, who have looked quite tame through 45 minutes, would be a massive step back in their quest for survival.
