Plymouth Argyle's injured on-loan midfielder Hiram Boateng back at Crystal Palace

Ghanaian midfielder Hiram Boateng has returned to Premier League club Crystal Palace for treatment to his leg injury.

The 19-year-old has been out of action for the Pilgrims since he was substituted in the 2-0 win against Morecambe at Home Park on October 31.

However, Argyle are set to be boosted by the return to training next week of goalkeeper Luke McCormick and striker Reuben Reid after groin and hip injuries respectively.

McCormick has missed the last two matches, with Christian Walton brought in on loan from Championship club Brighton and Hove Albion.

Reid has not played for Argyle since the 1-0 victory over Accrington Stanley at Home Park on October 17.

Pilgrims' boss Derek Adams is also hopeful it will not be long before centre-back Peter Hartley is ready to make a return to action.

Hartley suffered a foot injury in training last week but scans have shown it is not broken and only bruised.
