Police Ladies beat Fabulous Ladies 2-1 to win Sanford Women's FA Cup

Police Ladies pipped Fabulous Ladies 2-1 to lift the maiden edition of the Sanford Women's FA Cup at the Cape Coast on Saturday.

Former Black Queens goalkeeper Memunatu Suleimana was in post for the Fabulous Ladies but her experience couldn't hand the trophy to her side.

The two teams engaged in a balanced exchanges  before Faiza Ibrahim could break the deadlock of the encounter in the 40th minute for put Police Ladies ahead.

Fabulous Ladies came in stronger in the second half which saw Sandra Boakye levelling proceedings in the 64th minute. 

Faiza Ibrahim made sure the trophy heads to Police Ladies after netting her second of the game in the 78th minutes. 

Deborah Afriyie of Police Ladies was adjudged the overall best player of the competition whilst Agnes Duako's eight goals were enough for her to be named top scorer of the competition.
