On loan Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila says his side have what it takes to win the 2015 CAF Champions League.

Kotoko have won the Ghana Premier League the past three seasons but have been perennial failures in Africa.

Sumaila, who has re-joined the club from Mamelodi Sundowns, says the team look fortified to make an impact in Africa next year.

“We have a very good squad who are hungry for success. We know each other very well and have spoken about the need to do well in Africa this season,” Sumaila told GHANASoccernet.com

“We know our performances there hasn’t been the best but I am sure this season we can go all the way.”

Kotoko have drawn East End Lions of Sierra Leone in the preliminary stage of the tournament which starts in February.
