Coach Yusif Abubakar will revert to Medeama after his mission to help Wassaman United escape relegation failed.

The former Hearts of Oak coach was the assistant to coach Bashir Hayford before being poached by Wassaman with the sole aim of helping them beat the drop.

Abubakar is however set to rejoin the Yellow and Mauvs with Wassaman confirming their status as first side this season to go down following a 2-1 loss to Berekum Arsenals at the Golden City Park on Sunday.

“In my release letter to Wassmana, I woud revert to Medeama when the season comes to an end,” Abubakar told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I never signed a contract with Wassaman to take the permanent position as a coach therefore I will definitely return to Medeama.”

Wassman signs off in the Premier League next Sunday when they host Heart of Lions.
