Samuel Mensah elated with Ostersund FK Europa League second round qualification

Ghanaian defender Samuel Mensah has expressed his delight over Ostersunds FK UEFA Europa League Round of 16 qualification.

Ostersunds saw off Ukrainain side Zorya Luhansk 2-0 in the penultimate round of the Europa League group stages, where they are sitting atop of Group J standings with 10 points, three points above second placed side Athletic Bilbao.

The win effectively sealed coach Graham Potter's men progression into the next stage of the competition regardless of the results in the final group game against Hertha Berlin two weeks time.

And Mensah, who has been ever present in the team's campaign, was over the moon and is already looking forward to continuing their fairy tale run in the next round.

“The feeling is so great, this is our first appearance in the competition and we are in the next stage, I am so happy,” Mensah told footballmadeinghana.com

“We want to go far in the competition, the attention is now going to be more on the second round, we are ready. I am so proud of my team.”

Mensah, who won the Ostersunds player of the season in 2013 extended his contract at the club by two more years in July this year.
