Sarri: Napoli want to impose themselves against Juventus

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri says his side boast the quality to impose their attacking style of football against Juventus on Saturday evening.

The Partenopei could extend their lead at the top Serie A to five points with a win at the Juventus Stadium, but Sarri is mindful of the Old Lady’s formidable home record.

“We’ll play our own football, experience tells us that when we stop playing we become vulnerable,” said the Napoli coach in his pre-match press conference.

“So the only chance to get past opponents of Juve’s standard is by playing our own game.

“Our boys should not be tense, but just think about the opportunity we have.”

The likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon have experienced games of this magnitude before and Sarri believes their big-game nous will be of benefit to the side.

“They [Higuain and Callejon] are more accustomed to playing these types of games, but we do have four of five guys that can take care of our younger lads,” he added.

“The table gives us incentive because we are on par with Juventus, the team that is master of Italian football in recent years.

“Now we are satisfied, but we have the quality to go to Turin and impose ourselves.”
