A bitter ex-girlfriend of Anderlecht player Frank Acheampong has accused the winger for being ten years older than he claims to be.
The allegation, published by the Flemish newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, came after the Ghana international separated with the 21-year-old Congolese woman.
Acheampong will turn 21 on October 16 this year according to his birth date in his passport.
The ex in question said she was struck twice by Acheampong when she told him about his age.
The former Ghana youth star responded to the accusation by saying: "She cannot stand the fact that our relationship is over. She is looking for attention."
Acheampong’s Dutch manager has also said it is pure fabrication.
The former King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea player is not the first player to be accused of age-cheating.
Last season, former lover of Cameroon star Samuel Eto’o accused him of lying about his age.
Anna Barranca, an Italian hairdresser, said Eto’o was 39 rather than the 32 documented in his passport.
