The son of Sven-Goran Erikkson, Johan is the agent leading Shanghai SIPG’s charge to land Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan, GHANAsoccernet.com is reliably informed.
The Black Stars captain is expected to arrive in China on Wednesday to complete his mega move from Al Ain.
The UAE giants have accepted an offer close to €20m to sell their prolific striker to the Chinese big spenders.
Sources have however disclosed to GHANAsoccernet.com that the agent fronting the mega deal happens to be the son of Sven-Goran Erikkson – Johan - who is the coach of Shanghai SIPG.
Johan Erikkson will be entitled to massive slice of the total transfer cost once the move for Asamoah Gyan is sealed.
Gyan has also been offered a staggering $350,000 in weekly wages.
The Black Stars captain’s surprising move to the UAE back in 2011 has turned out to be a huge success as he helped Al Ain to three domestic league titles in the last four years.
He is expected to have a similar impact once he joins Shanghai SIPG.
