Liverpool legend Graeme Souness says Crystal Palace is the best squad Sam Allardyce has worked with.
Souness insists Allardyce has taken over the best group of players he has had at any club since he managed Bolton Wanderers.
He wrote for The Times: "For all the relegation battles he has been involved in, this is the best group he has inherited."
Sunderland currently prop up the table on 20 points, with Middlesbrough five points from safety in 19th place. Hull City currently occupy the final place in the bottom three, three points behind Swansea City in 17th, with Palace one point and one place above the Swans.
