Former Hearts of Oak management member Aziz Haruna Futah has criticized his club and Asante for doing very little for the fans who died during the stadium disaster 13 years ago.

The May 9 disaster claimed the lives of 126 fans as a result of a stampede after a league match between the country’s two biggest sides.

Futah says two clubs to honour the supporters who lost their lives in this tragic incident.

“These two clubs have failed to do something to honour the supporters whose lives were lost on that day,” he told Hello FM. “Is it fair?

“These two clubs cannot even organize Christian or Muslim players for their supporters who lost their lives on that day.

“It is very shameful.

“So these two clubs cannot set up a May 9 welfare fund, to use what would be accrued from it to do a project in the of the fans whose lives were lost on may 9th to forever remember them?”
