Ghana goalkeeper Stephen Adams says he is not surprised by his call-up into the Black Stars ahead of next monthââ¬â¢s pre-World Cup friendly against Montenegro.
The Aduana Stars shot-stopper has replaced Fatau Dauda in the Ghana set-up for the friendly exercise on March 5 in Podgorica following his stellar performances at the CHAN tournament in South Africa.
Adams has revealed he is not surprised with his call-up and will grab the opportunity.
ââ¬ÅTo be honest with you I wasnââ¬â¢t surprised at all, he told Accra-based Happy FM
ââ¬ÅAfter the CHAN tournament, I have always held the view that I will get my chance and I thank God that the opportunity has presented itself.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s now up to me to grab this chance and impress the coach.ââ¬
Adams is now in pole position to grab perhaps the final slot in the goalkeeping department with Fatau Dauda and Adam Kwarasey sure candidates to make the final cut.
