Luis Suarez celebrates after scoring a goal for Barcelona in a win against Leganes.

Luis Suarez scored either side of half-time as Barcelona ran out 3-0 winners against Leganes to provisionally extend their lead atop the La Liga table on Saturday.

Suarez tapped home from close range after Ivan Cuellar spilled a save from a cross right into the Uruguayan's path and then volleyed in his second on the hour mark from a rebound after a Paco Alcacer shot.

Paulinho added a third for Ernesto Valverde's team before full-time, poking home from close range after the ball fell to him following a nice buildup in the area by Barca.

Barca now lead second-placed Valencia, who play Sunday, by seven points and both Real and Atleti by 11 points before the two meet later on Saturday in the Madrid derby.
