Sudan coach plots Ghana downfall by video

Sudan coach Mohammed 'Mazda' Abdallah has been engaged in an intensive study of the Ghana team to aid his side in Saturday's decisive Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, insiders have told MTNFootball.com.

The local trainer has obtained a video copy of the last two matches of the Black Stars to plot his strategy to bring down the four-time champions.

Abdallah, who has revived the Nile Crocodiles, has been particularly interested in Ghana's style of play during their recent friendly against Brazil.

He is said not to be too keen on the Black Stars match against Swaziland last month because most of the Ghana players were not at their best in the Accra game.

But he is keen on deploying a strategy to counteract the swift Ghana counter-attacks that the Black Stars adopted during the friendly with the Brazilians in London.

The coach is said to have to have taught his defenders how to combat the swift Ghanaian counter attacks especially from the right where Samuel Inkoom is expected to operate from.

He also coached his side during their tour of Ethiopia on how to get behind the tough Ghana defensive wall marshalled by the towering Isaac Vorsah.

But with some players who played in the matches against Swaziland and Ethiopia not available his strategy for the Black Stars must be tweaked.

The Black Stars coach will also be basing his style of play on the strengths of the Sudanese to be able to take care of them effectively.

Sudan need to beat Ghana to qualify automatically to the Africa Cup of Nations while the Black Stars just need a draw to clinch Group I's sole ticket.
