Team of the Week: Ghanaian players abroad

But first, get the summary of how some Ghanaian players fared in Sunday's round of matches on the globe.

England:

In the Npower Championship, winger Lloyd Sam played the last two minutes for Leeds United which scored a last gasp goal to deny West Ham United their third consecutive victory.

Young striker Akwasi Asante watched from the Birmingham City substitute bench as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at Middlesbrough.

France:

Defender John Boye warmed the bench for Stade Rennes whose lackluster performance saw them record a disgraceful 4-0 loss at Montpellier.

Olympique Marseille are still without a win in the Ligue.

They failed to beat a ten-man Saint Etienne at the Stade Velodrome.

Andre Ayew was replaced after 77 minutes while Jordan Ayew was brought on for Loic Remy on the 67th minute.

Holland:

Ball-battling midfielder Kwame Quansah was booked on the 43rd minute as his Heracles Almelo shared the spoils with Feyenoord in a 1-1 drawn game.

Germany:

Ghana pair Anthony Annan and Hans Adu-Sarpei both missed out of the Schalke 04 first team squad that fought from two goal down to win 4-2 against Mainz 05.

Italy:

Kevin-Prince Boateng scored the opener for AC Milan in their victory over Juventus in the Berlusconi Trophy but was replaced on the 30th minute after he picked an injury.

Kingsley Boateng replaced Gennaro Gattuso on the 67th minute.

Ghana youth trio of Amidu Salifu, Maxwell Boadu Acosty and Daniel Agyei were all in action for Fiorentina B which they drew 1-1 with Scandici.

Daniel Agyei captained the team.

Belgium:

Daniel Opare was key to Standard Liege's 3-1 victory Kortrijk.

Norway:

Awal Issah-Mohammed did not make the trip with Rosenborg BK which drew 2-2 with Haugesund.

Midfielder Ernest Asante was introduced on the 46th minute for IK Start which failed to halt their five match losing streak in a 2-0 reverse at Sogndal.

Adam Kwarasey and Mohammed Abu played the full 90 minutes for Stromsgodset which threw away a 90th minute 2-1 lead to draw two-all with visiting Aalesund.

Razak Nuhu sat on the Stromsgodset bench.

Yaw Amankwah warmed the bench for Brann which squeezed a point out of Stabaek after a 1-1 draw.

Portugal:

Duo Christian Astu and David Addy were unable to break into the FC Porto first team squad that beat 3-1 Gil Vicente.

Romania:

Former Tema Youth midfielder Richard Annang was a second half sub for Vaslui in their shocking 2-1 home loss to Ceahlaul.

Sweden:

Youngster Abdul Majeed Waris was introduced on the 75th minute for Hacken which humbled Djurgarden 2-0.

Striker Kwame Amponsah Karikari proved crucial for AIK Stockholm in their 3-0 crushing of Trelleborgs.

Serbia:

Francis Bossman played the entire match for Sloboda Sevojno which narrowly edged Partizan Belgrade 2-1.

Centre-back Lee Addy helped Red Star Belgrade to a 2-0 victory over Javor.

Defender Abraham Frimpong and Yaw Antwi were both not in the Vojvodina first team that thumped Metalac 3-0.

Ukraine:

Samuel Inkoom returned to action for Dnipro by coming on as a 46th minute substitute but Derek Boateng warmed the bench.

Dnipro drew goalless with Vorskla.

Thailand:

Ghanaian goalkeeper Jonathan Aryeetey kept the Krabi FC which hit four past Nakhon Si Tamarat FC in a 4-2 workout in the lower-tier.
