Tema Youth has qualified to play in the Premier League promotional playoffs after crashing Danbort FC 5-1 in on the final day in the Division One League.

Youth – who were relegated from the Ghanaian top flight after last season – progress from Zone 3B with the massive win of the game played at the Tema Park on Wednesday.

This means the Tema-based side qualifies as Zone 3B winners having amassed 26 points.

Fellow ex Premier League campaigners Okwawu United clinched the zone’s other qualification slot despite losing 4-0 to King Solomon.

Elsewhere, Real Tamale United booked their place in the promotional playoffs despite losing to Guan United who also qualified from Zone 1A while a protest case ensured that no matches were played in Zone 1B.

Dunkwa United have already sealed qualification in Zone 2A after beating Starke FC 2-1 but the other qualification slot in the zone remains undecided due to a protest.

Fetteh Feyenoord qualified as group winners in Zone 2B with a 3-1 win over Elimina Sharks with XI Wise coming through as runner’s up with a win over Metro Stars.

Great Olympics and Istanbul FC had already clinched qualification in Zone 3A though yet to play their final matches.
