Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah is set to be out of action for close to four weeks having being diagnosed with a thigh strain.

The 24-year-old midfielder limped off the field in his side’s 2-2 draw game against his former club Sampdoria in midweek.

Italian Serie A side Torino released a statement on their site confirming the injury to the Ghana international.

"The MRI that Acquah underwent today revealed a first degree lesion to the adductor longus muscle of his left thigh.”

"The resting time will be approximately 20-25 days"

The all-action midfielder has been in good form for Torino this season and will be hoping for a swift return to action.
