Ghana international midfielder Enock Adu Kofi returned from suspension to propel Malmo FF in midfield as the Swedish Allsvenskan title-holders overcame Scottish giants to reach the group stages of the Uefa Champions League on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old former Liberty Professionals player walked his way back into the Malmo FF starting line-up after his availability for selection following his eligibility from suspension.

Adu missed the first-leg tie which ended 3-2 at the Celtic Park due to the suspension and watched the game from the screens but he returned to solidify the midfield for Age Hareide's side as the Norwegian manager successfully secured a second straight appearance at the group stage of the competition.

Malmo's ebullience clearly overshadowed Celtic's ponderous play on a night as Swedish forward Markus Rosenberg strike and a Dedryck Boyata own goal gave Malmo a comfortable 2-0 win at Swedbank Stadion.

This will be the first time in a second-straight season Adu will be playing in the group stages of the competition after shining last season.
