Jan Vertonghen believes Tottenham Hotspur can compete with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.
Despite not having the same funds as Roman Abramovich or the City Football Group, Spurs have been able to assemble a very strong squad since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as manager in 2014.
Belgian defender Vertonghen suggests that even without the same cash to splash on new players, the North Londoners are capable of challenging for sivlerware on all fronts.
"Money, you can't compare it, but I think our team is as strong as theirs. Definitely," he said when asked of Chelsea and City.
"We played the (League Cup) final against Chelsea at Wembley a couple of years ago and we want more of that.
"I won silverware at Ajax and it's the best thing there is in football. This team deserve a trophy."
