Ghana international Frank Acheampong hit the back of the net twice for Anderlecht and inspired them to a 2-2 draw with KV Mechelen in the Belgian Pro League on Friday night.

The 23-year-old winger levelled the scoring for the Royal Club in the 18th minute after the hosts had taken the lead 6 minutes earlier at the AFAS-stadion Achter de Kazerne.

He then put Anderlecht in the lead 20 minutes from time but Nicolas Verdier pecked the scoring three minutes after Acheampong's strike to send the game to a draw.

Acheampong, a member of Ghana's 2015 AFCON squad, appears to have discovered his form and has commanded regular starting role at Anderlecht in recent games.

Despite 8 starts and featuring in 15 league games for Anderlecht all-season, Friday night's goals were his first league goals for the club.

But he scored a brilliant finish against French giants AS Monaco in the Uefa Europa League last November.

Acheampong's first goal (18th minute) was a cool finish from inside of the box as he controlled a perfect low cross from Dennis Praet inside the box before coolly finishing off the box.
