Aduana Stars CEO Albert Yaya Commey has called on the Ghana Football Association in particular and Ghanaians in general not to overburden the captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, because of his generosity.

The captain of the Black Stars recently donated an amount of $30,000 to the senior female national team, The Black Queens, in fulfillment of a promise he made the team during the All Africa Games two months ago.

Gyan had earlier dashed out the same team $10,000 before the tournament.

Many soccer enthusiasts have since recommended that the captain of the side be made to adopt one of the junior national teams in terms of funding, especially at a time that the government is crying there is no money.

“The fact that Asamoah Gyan has donated some cash to the Black Queens does not mean we should overburden him. He also has his own responsibilities to handle,” Commey told GHANAsoccernet.com

“We should give him the leverage that he want to contribute.”

“Gyan is not only assisting the Black Queens but he is also contributing greatly to boxing and other activities by creating employment for a lot for people. “
