Ghana's Sulley Muntari sweats on thigh injury

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari was rested on Tuesday in the team’s second training session in Pretoria.

The Inter Milan ace is struggling with a thigh injury he picked up during last week’s international friendly against the Netherlands in Rotterdam.

The 25-year-old was spotted with an Inter Milan doctor who worked on his left thigh as he watched his team-mates train.

He was involved in a light training session yesterday but faces the battle to be fully fit for Ghana’s opener against Serbia on Sunday.

  1. Kenneth County says:

It beats me but most of the injured players originally bound for the WC are based in Europe. The latest is Manchester United and Portugal winger, Nani who has been ruled out of the tournament. We pray to the almighty to protect and strenghten our players to give their best.

  2. Fu-Chu says:

During a World Cup year the clubs should have played fewer games. The season was very long and that leads to injuries. Most of the injuries happened to players that ply their trade in the English premier league.
