Frederich Acheampong is aiming to become a bigger star than his older brother Frank Acheampong after winning the MTN FA Cup Discovery of the Year award.
The 18-year-old beat competition from Medeamaââ¬â¢s Joseph Gordon, Mighty Jetsââ¬â¢ Emmanuel Laryea and Ben Arthur of Amidaus Professionals to land the prestigious award on Saturday night.
The ex Ghana U17 player wants to do better than his brother who plays forà à Anderlecht and helped the Ghana U20 team win bronze at the FIFA U20 World Cup earlier this year in Turkey.
Now playing for Ghanaian second tier club Rainbow FC, Frederich is looking to move onto greater heights - surpassing the no mean achievement of his elder brother who has been called to the Black Stars team for Fridayââ¬â¢s deciding 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia.
