Zambia-Lesotho conspiracy against Ghana exposed, Lesotho coach admits

Lesotho coach Leslie Notsi has exposed the long-held suspicion of a Southern African conspiracy against Ghana, tipping Zambia to qualify for the last round of the 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifiers ahead of the Black Stars.

Lesotho coach Leslie Notsi has exposed the long-held suspicion of a Southern African conspiracy against Ghana, tipping Zambia to qualify for the last round of the 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifiers ahead of the Black Stars.

The loud-mouthed coach says the Chipolopolo qualification to the playoffs ahead of Ghana will boost football in the Southern African region, clearly indicating his soft spot for Zambia.

Notsi vowed to make things difficult for Ghana on Sunday when the two sides clash in 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifier in Maseru even though he ensured Zambia had a walk in the park when they met the Crocodiles over the weekend as the Chipolopolo won 4-0.

Notsi said in an interview in Ndola on Saturday night that the Chipolopolo is the strongest team in Group D when the evidence of the results so far in the group points to the opposite..

“The Zambian team is strong.  I have no doubt that Zambia will qualify to the last round of the qualifiers. Continue supporting your team,” Notsi said.

Notsi said Zambia’s qualification to the World Cup will be good for the whole of southern African , according to the report in the Zambia.

He said the 0-4 loss to Zambia was a learning process but Notsi said the Likuena will play for pride when they face Ghana.

He said it is not easy for visiting teams to win at Setsotho Stadium in Maseru.

“We will be playing for pride and we will not want to lose in front of our fans at our backyard. We will make it difficult for Ghana. It will be pride at stake,” Notsi said.

He said the Likuena are eager to record the first win in the qualifying series.
“The nation (Lesotho) has to be happy on Sunday,” Notsi said.

Zambia are leaders in Group D after four matches in the group with ten points, one better than Ghana. But the Chipolopolo top the group thanks to a protest they won against Sudan.

Ghana have shown they are much better as they won 3-1 in Sudan – a venue the Chipolopolo were beaten 2-0 before they launched their protest claiming the Nile Crocodiles fielded an ineligible player.

While Ghana could manage a 7-0 home win over Lesotho Zambia could only beat them 4-0 which makes the Black Stars the better of the two sides.

Chipolopolo have also got a poor away record as they have not been able to win away from home in the qualifiers.

    • dotZM says:

Looks like Ghanaians will never accept a Zambian victory. They said the same things before we even played Lesotho in the first leg match. We drew and it all died a natural death.

Now that we have won, they bring it back and start printing rubbish.

Be sure that they think we should never win a match, even through a genuine protest!

  10. Cudjoe says:

The same coach who was lauding Ghana is now lauding zambia….we’ll hear what he’ll say when his team gets wired in Khartoum.

U know Sudan is very upset about the bordroom points awarded to Zambia so I won’t be suprised if they go and get at least a draw.it will all come down to the last game cause we r beating Lesotho hands down.how can they stop a midfield of essien, frimpong, kwajwo asamoah, dede ayew, atsu, badu, wakaso, just to name a few and who knows kpb might be back….Zambia u r really in hot water…we don’t loose world cup qualifier at home.assholes.

    • Black Stars Fan says:

Thank you, you are saying what Zambians have completely forgotten.
Sudan don’t care any more about the world cup only revenge is on their mind. Zambian’s stole from them, therefore, Zambia must pay.
I can’t wait to see that match this week end.

    • dotZM says:

Sudanese are just foolish people. There are rules to every game. If you put the ball behind the net, its a goal, even if it’s your own goal. Similarly, if you use ineligible players, it’s 3-0.

So what’s the problem with Zambia scoring 3 – 0 against Sudan by just following the rules of the game?

  20. zambia is our toilet hole says:

Sure they are scared at the mention of the name Ghana and how they wish they could be Ghana one Day,,,,So let the Zambians keep coming to our site. They know that the only strongest team on the continent and internationally recognized is Ghana Black Stars. Have you ever heard China compete with Africa in terms of Economy?Never, they think Africa is no where near them so they only like competing with AMERICA not even UK nor CANADA even though they are all well developed countries.Fellow Ghanaians, let’s be proud of our country for the extremely strength and power we have in all field.Zambia only look up to us and really want to learn from us but they are doing that more or less partially and indirectly because the whole world and Zambians themselves know that they are just starters in the field of football.Zambians you are welcome to learn from us through all means,,by insults, mockery ,disrepute …..you name it and whatever means you want and for we as a Civilized country well recognized on the world stage will not just reciprocate your actions,,,therefore let all Zambians know that,Either faking yourselves as our main brother Nigerians to come or by identity,,,,Ghanaians have every right not to respond to you which doesn’t mean Ghanaians are threatened by your presence but only showing how Educated and Civilized we are and our status in the world and Africa as a whole.Ghanaians,we continue to be meek for ours is the kingdom of heaven and the sole ticket of the world cup Brazil 2014 which is already sealed.

  31. Wasanga baleteya says:

@TRBYE u are a pig in a flock of sheep. Why do u resort to insults? I just asked when Zambia last lost to Ghana in a competitive match?

  32. Kalaba1 says:

The Zambia of 2012 is different from the Zambia of 2013,the new Zambia team has more strength lethal strikers genious midfilfers strong defence and tactical technical bench. On saturay goals will rain at Levy Estadio Sudan has no match and as for you Ghana we got a plan for you, call all your retirees at your own peril because they will be so confused and under pressure. Just a lone goal will be enough in Kumasi or accra or anywhere remember that Chipolopolo is not intimidated by crowd or players.

  33. ChoCho says:

Lesotho coach Leslie Notsie has supported the Black Stars to emerge winners in their group ahead of Zambia in the race to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil next year. The Chipolopolo have seen their lead cut to a point after they struggled to draw 1-1 against the Crocodiles in Maseru last Sunday.
The draw has raised hopes among Ghanaian soccer fans while Zambia are left ruing the lost opportunity to maintain their point build-up.
Notsie believes the Zambians have lost the spark that won them the 2012 African Cup of Nations title and do not possess any threat to the ambitions of the Black Stars to qualify to the global showpiece.
“”I have played against all three teams in the group now and I would say Ghana looks too stronger and consistent compared to all the other because technically, I can see a lot of things,” Notsie told Sunyani-based Storm FM.
“I was expecting a lot from them (Zambia) in our match because looking at their track record, they have been together for years and they are African champions.“Going out in the AFCON group stage, I thought they would come out as wounded Lions so I was a bit upset you know but in the end I was disappointed.
“When we played Ghana, their team was not strong that time but we never had breath and I wanted the match to end fast but Zambia gave us belief that we can play them boot for boot.“I think their team is not strong anywhere because many of their players have run out of steam and it won’t be easy for them if they play this way. “Of course Ghana won’t have an easy game when they visit us in Maseru but true fact is, am not looking out of plenty in that match,” he added.
Coach Herve Renard men are in turmoil after the country’s Sports Minister Sports Minister, Chishimba, threatened to disband the team following the set-back in Maseru.
But the Frenchman insists their World Cup dreams are still alive and have the men to urge past the Ghanaians in the race to Brazil 2014.
Dis coach is totally confused…well beat them 5-0 in their own backyard n as for you ZOMBIANS dierrr we will be waiting for you in OSEI KROM, THE GARDEN CITY…HEHEHEHEHEHEHE

  34. dabagonshots says:

Masa, it is simple. Let us be grateful for this Lesotho Coach, he has warned us ahead, let us prepare for be fore warned is fore armed.

  35. Don says:

  36. Wasanga baleteya says:

Chocho you are a day dreamer.

  37. ghana fanatic says:

Guys lets just be realistic when was the last time we ever beat Zambia??? We just have to admit it they are better than us, history supports wat I am saying, lets not be dreamers but face facts

  38. OlgaKofi says:

Sudan want a revenge on Zambia?
Well that explains why they sold a game to Ghana!!!!!

  39. Zola says:

U’re a big fool oga kofi

  40. erikuz -ghana says:

    HISTORY DOES NOT FAVOUR ZAMBIA
In 1993 govt could not pay Danish Coach Raold Poulsen so FAZ parted with him. Govt then gave Chipolopolo Ian Porterfield. Zambia was leading their World Cup qualifying group and were favourites for a slot. Their next game was against Senegal then a pushover (like Lesotho). Zambia needed to beat Senegal twice to put Morocco out of the reckoning. In a game that they could have won by a cricket scoreline Zambia drew with Senegal in Dakar. Senegal lost the return 4-0 in Lusaka. Zambia, needing just a draw, then had a crucial last game against Morocco in Rabat. They lost that game 1-0 to Morocco and Diramba. Substitute Senegal for Lesotho and Ghana for Morocco in the above narration for a taste of things to come.
    1. Zambia sacked bonati for herve
    2. ian potterfield moved from zambia to coach my darling club asante kotoko of ghana
3 herve Renard moved from ghana to coach zambia
    4. zambia drew 1-1 with lesotho and won 4-0 in ndola …..history is just repeating itself

  41. zambia is our toilet hole says:

And that is why Zambia is going no where near the world cup tournament .Ghana has the sole slot of the group, what is written is written.

  42. willard says:

the black stars will get a shock of their lives in lesotho, the score board will read lesotho 3 ghana 2 in the sesotho stadium. i am very sure the road for ghana to qualify to brazil ends on sunday unfortunately, hard luck guys there is always a next time.

  43. willard says:

the chipolopolo of zambia will only come to kumasi just to fulfil the fixture, we will conclude our mission on saturday in ndola and wait for a confirmation on sunday in maseru were the black stars of ghana will be embarrased by a tiny country within a country and make their world cup dreams more black. GO ZAMBIA GO

  44. boyd says:

African Journalists learn to be professional please why do you fabricate stories…..football is played over 90 minutes not what you saying please. Here in Zambia we respect Ghana a lot but we believe in 90 minutes, will come to Accra or Kumasi to face you and you will tell me after the game…remember a draw will ok for us and we very good at that….but Renard says he is coming there for a win. TB JOSHUA the African Octopus said it last year that Zambia will qualify and definately we will no matter who you bring back or Which cabinet meeting your president arranges to discuss Zambia. CHIPOLOPOLO ALL THE WAY……….SHIPWE SHIPWE

  45. Zambia Forward says:

it is utter nonsense for any one to suggest that Zambia and Lesotho applied some monkey tricks in the 4-0 victory by Zambia. Can all you Ghanaians who pushing this pathetic theory sit down for a moment and apply your brains, the Lesotho national team has not won a single away competitive match for over two years, did you honestly think they would beat Zambia?Dont act like you do not know who Zambia is? We all know that Ghana is stronger than Lesotho and you Ghana with all the strength you have, we wired you at the same stadium and the best you could do was become unruly, how on earth do you expect a weak team to win?????

The truth s that the best team between Zambia and Ghana will win this group, you are banking on the game we will visit you, make no mistake in saying you are winning that one cos Zambia is capable of playing equally good even when away, at a time when Egypt was at their peak and Cairo international stadium was a nightmare for any team, Zambia went their and held them, tat is Egypt at their best, Ghana can not even come close to how deadly Egypt was at that time so what makes you think we can fail to silence you????

  47. Hamas says:

Hahaha! Our naija friends are always not comfortable with Ghana!! Why?, why? Naija!! Please we must be each others keepers if we want to conquer the world!! Else where people can’t even differentiate ghanaian and nigeria!! Where is this hatred emanating from!!

  48. Mark Azure says:

some Ghanaians are very shallow minded.Do we have to always compare ourselves with Nigerians? Why always Nigeria Nigeria Nigeria……we dont have much in common with them, and even if we do, it doesn’t mean we should use them as a yardstick in everything we do.This unnecessary hype is too infuriating. As a matter of truth the Zambian team is as strong as(if not stronger than) our Black Stars and let’s not undermine Lesotho too.Anyway, Ghana will go to Brazil 2014 on top of the group.
