2019/20 Ghana Premier League: Week 7 Match Report- Inter Allies 4-2 King Faisal

Published on: 31 January 2020

Inter Allies survived a late scare to beat King Faisal 4-2 in a dramatic six-goal thriller on match day-7 of the Ghana Premier League in Accra on Friday afternoon.

The Capelli Boys had to dig deep to score two quick goals in a spate of five minute to prevent what could have been a massive upset at home.

King Faisal produced a remarkable comeback to put the game 2-2 at after the home side had shot ahead courtesy Victorien Adebayor and Samuel Armah in the first half.

The Kumasi-based side put up a rock-solid second half display to rally from two-goals down to put the game on the edge with five minutes left on the clock.

Nigerien Victorien Adebayor and Samuel Armah scored in the first half to hand the Capelli Boys a well deserved cushion.

But Faisal came into the second half strongly and equalized through Osman Ibrahim and Mohammed Mustapha.

While the game appeared to be heading to a draw, Samuel Armah restored the lead for the home side on 85 minutes before Michael Gyamerah sealed victory in injury time.

This is just the second win for the Capelli Boys but they had to sweat to bag maximum points following a late, late scare from the visitors.
