Aduana Stars face Eleven Wonders on Sunday, an opportunity for the former champions to get back to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League.
The Dormaa-based club have lost their last three games and slipped to sixth on the table. Aduana are nine points off top spot and cannot afford to drop points against Wonders.
Their poor form has led to the sacking of Asare Bediako and Ben Bessa Zola named interim manager. Zola has been tasked to ensure the club end the first round on a high.
Aduana despite struggling are slight favourites for this one because their opponents have been utterly poor and find themselves second from bottom. Wonders will need a special performance to upstage Aduana in Dormaa.
Wonders can be inspired by last season’s performance which saw them earn a 1-1 draw at the tough venue. Also, Wonders are unbeaten in their last four meetings against Aduana with two wins and two draws.
