2022 World Cup: Nigeria star Wilfred Ndidi reacts to World Cup qualification failure

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has expressed his disappointment after the team's failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw by their West African rivals Ghana at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday evening in the second leg.

Thomas Partey scored from a long drive to give the Black Stars the lead in the 10th minute.

The Tunisian referee awarded a penalty to the Super Eagles in the 19th minute with support from VAR after Ademola Lookman was adjudged to have been clipped by Ghana defender Dennis Odoi in the box.

Captain Troost-Ekong scored from the penalty spot in the 20th minute to give the team the equalizer.

Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen had a goal ruled out for offside and no further goals were scored in the second half.

Ghana qualified on the away goal rule after it ended 1-1.
