Ghanaian striker Abdul Basit Mohammed scored the only goal of the game for Free States Stars recorded their second win of the season and first on the road when they beat Lamontville Golden Arrows 1-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi.

The former New Edubiase United forward, 22, netted his fourth goal in six games for Ea Lla Koto and steer them to a crucial away and propel them up the ladder.

Basit's close-range header in the sixth minute, getting on the end of a cross from the right, was enough to give Steve Komphela's men all the points.

The former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko target  joined has been in the fine scoring shape since arriving in the Absa Premier League before the start of the season.

Former Liberty Professionals first choice goalkeeper Daniel Agyei manned the post for Free State Stars in the game and was booked in the 90th minute.

Edwin Gyimah played full throttle and scored a consolation goal for SuperSport United who suffered a 2-1 home loss to Moroka Swallows.

Striker Yakubu Mohammed and Awal Issah Mohammed both played in Maritzburg United's 2-0 victory over Mpumalanga Black Aces.
