Young striker Kofi Owusu's last-gasp strike helped Aduana Stars to defeat Sekondi Hasaacas 1-0 at the Essipong Stadium in Saturday's only game in the Ghana Premier League.

The 22-year-old shocked the home fans with an 87th minute strike that left Kobinah Amissah's side devastated in the dying embers.

Hasaacas fielded a mixture of experienced and youthful side created chances in the first 45 minutes but failed to convert them while Aduana Stars barely put George Owu to test.

The game appeared to be heading for a draw but Owusu scored to secure a vital away win for JE Sarpong's side.

Aduana are second on the log with six points from their first three games of the season while the winless Hasaacas remain 11th with 2 points and could slip further down after Sunday's games.
