Agyemang admits shock at QPR squad axe

QPR striker Patrick Agyemang says he was shocked to discover he was not in boss Neil Warnock's 25 man Premier League squad.

The 31-year old, who is in the final year of his contract at Loftus Road, played in two of the first three games of the season but was then left out of the squad much to his surprise.

The striker, who is now on loan at Millwall, told London24: "I'd played the last two games before the transfer window shut, so once the window had passed I thought I was going to be involved.”

"I wasn't told anything beforehand.

"Obviously the manager had a boost in the budget, he was able to bring in whoever he wanted and that's what happens in football, but it's upsetting when it happens to you.

"It was a big shock and I was low on confidence because of the situation. You're just training for yourself, really, because you know no matter how hard you work you can't get into the team.

"Now I've just got to get on with it and my loyalty's to Millwall at the moment. I've got to keep fit and try and make an impact - I can't really worry about QPR."
