Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko has adopted the Len Clay Sports Stadium, Obuasi as their home venue for the second round of the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warrior earlier in the 2020/21 season moved to the Accra Sports Stadium for their home games due to renovation works at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

According to sources, management has decided to change their home venue to the Len Clay Sports Stadium due to poor results playing in the capital.

Asante Kotoko wrote to the Ghana Football Association in that regard and sources indicate their request have been granted.

The record-Ghana Premier League holders will now share the venue with owners AshantiGold Sporting Club in the second round of the league season.

Asante Kotoko will host Berekum Chelsea in their first home game at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, Obuasi.

The team finished fourth on the league table in the first round with 27 points, with a game in hand.

GHANAsoccernet.com sources indicate that Asante Kotoko may move back to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before the end of the season as renovation works at the venue is near completion.
