Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Emmanuel Kwame Osei has been ruled out for close to eight months after undergoing surgery.

The club's third choice gloves man had a successful operation at the at the Komfo Anokye Teachings Hospital last week to correct a cruciate ligament injury.

This means Osei's season is over and will be available for selection in 2021 when he regains full fitness.

According to a report by Kumasi-based Opemsuo Sports, Osei needed a second surgery due to poor rehabilitation during his time at Inter Allies.
