Asante Kotoko Communications Director Moses Antwi Benefo says the club is ready to face any legal battle with Club Consult Africa.

The Porcupine Warriors terminated its kit sponsorship deal with Club Consult Africa, procurers of the Strike kits.

Club Consult Africa had signed a three-year deal with Asante Kotoko to supply them with official strike kits for the three seasons but the contract was terminated with just a year remaining by the new management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

The Asante Kotoko scribe explained that the team was not benefitting from the kit sponsorship deal thus the move to terminate the deal and seek a befitting kit sponsor.

He furthered that the deal terminated will not have any repercussions on the club as it was done by its legal team after a thorough search

"We handed all existing contracts to our legal team for reviews. We are ready to maintain those that Kotoko benefit from and terminate those that the club doesn't earn anything from it", Moses Antwi Benefo told Hello FM.

"Kotoko had a contract with Club Consult Africa and not Strike. They were to purchase kits and training apparels for Kotoko. After reviewing the contract with Club Consult Africa, we saw that it was not going to help Kotoko in any way so the contract was unilaterally terminated.

"They can go to court for redress. Now we have taken the decision and we are ready to welcome any decision from Club Consult Africa. Whatever comes up will be channelled to our legal team".

Asante Kotoko has signed a new kits sponsorship deal with Italian outfit Errea.
