AshGold goalie predicts close title race

AshantiGold goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda insists the Premier League will go down to the wire despite trailing Asante Kotoko by ten points.

The Miners have been on the rise since in the top-flight league where they have recorded a perfect start in the second round of the League.

They won 2-0 at Heart of Lions last weekend to justify their form.

"It's premature to start making noise about Kotoko’s league triumph. There are as many as nine matches left and many intricacies ahead," Dauda said.

"I doff my hat off to the management team for the quality signings and the fact that they have increased our winning bonuses has heightened competition in the team.

"Every player wants to play and get a share of the cash and that for me has accounted for our turnaround fortunes in the league."

AshGold have an easier task at home against relegation-threatened Bechem United while Kotoko face Edubiase.
