Ace sports journalist Mac-Paradise Okocha has been appointed as the media committee Vice Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA).

The experienced Happy FM sports anchor will serve on the committee for the next one-year.

A letter signed by the GARFA Chairman, Samuel Aboabire, confirmed Okocha’s appointment and that of seven (7) other members.

“The Executive Council of GARFA at its meeting held on 25th February, 2020 appoints you as Vice Chairman of the Media Committee.

“The appointment takes effect from 4 March, 2020 to 3 March 2021.

“It is the expectation of the association that you put up your utmost best to ensure the region achieves its target”.

Okocha expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the association for giving him the opportunity to serve during an interview on Happy FM.

He added that he will give out his best and use his years of experience and expertise to help promote and develop the game in the region.
