Berekum Chelsea coach Hans Van der Plyum wants to remain modest with his achievement after he recorded his third straight win of the season since he took charge.
The fortunes of the defending Premier League champions changed since the Dutchman took over from British Steve Pollack.
Pollack left the Blues my mutual consent after series of unimpressive performances in the early stages of the competition.
But the club have been transformed under Plyum who has chalked victories in his last three matches including Sunday's 1-0 win over high-flying New Edubiase to move to second spot.
Their quest to defend the title is now back on track but the 62-year-old tactician does not want to be carried away.
"It was an important win for us but I believe we have to take it slowly before we start talking about defending the trophy," Plyum said
"Edubiase is a good side with so much potential but we had to believe that we could win and I’m happy my players are coming around and getting the needed points.
“There is no time for us to get complacent but there are many matches left to be played and so we’ll take it one after the other and see how it goes."
