Somalia national team coach, Bashiru Hayford has stepped down from his post, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.
The Ghanaian coach sighted insecurity and attacks by Al Shabab as the main reason for his resignation.
Hayford, who was in charge of hosts Ghana at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations last years, signed a two-year contract replacing Somalia's Mohamed Abdulla Farayare in March 2019.
He led Somalia to win their first ever World Cup qualifying game against Zimbabwe in the preliminary round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
