Black Queens striker Abdulai Mukarama's brace wins Tyler Junior College national championship

Former Black Maidens forward Abdulai Mukrama continues to make waves in the United States after her brace won Tyler Junior College the national soccer championship.

Mukarama, who has been with the team for the second year running, help them to back-to-back success.

The FIFA U-17 World Cup golden boot scored both goals as Tyler Junior College beat Utah 2-0 at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans, Georgia.

Her first in the 32nd minute before sealing victory with an 86th-minute strike.

Tyler Junior College finished the season without a defeat, going on a run of 18-0 record.

The Ghanaian forward also completed the season as the Most Valuable Player.

 

The 18-year-old goal poacher shot to prominence during the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Uruguay, netting seven goals in four matches as Ghana exited at the quarter-final stage.

Although her tournament was cut short after Ghana's elimination, she still scooped the Golden Boot and was adjudged third-best player at the tournament.

She has since moved through the youth teams of Ghana and is currently a member of Tamale Ladies and the Black Queens.
