Chiellini & Higuain in Juventus squad for Coppa Italia Final

Published on: 17 June 2020

Juventus have named their squad for the Coppa Italia Final against Napoli, including Giorgio Chiellini and Gonzalo Higuain, although they aren’t expected to play.

If the tie is level after 90 minutes, they will skip extra time and go straight to a penalty shoot-out.

Coach Maurizio Sarri named a full squad for the trip to Rome, although this is largely because he wants everyone to be involved in the experience of the Final.

Chiellini, Higuain, Merih Demiral and Aaron Ramsey are still not 100 per cent fit and unlikely to feature.

It’s reported Cristiano Ronaldo will again work as a centre-forward, flanked by Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado, the Colombian stepping in for Douglas Costa.

Sami Khedira is also tipped to play in midfield rather than Miralem Pjanic, moving Rodrigo Bentancur to the centre of the three-man midfield.

Juventus squad for Napoli:

Szczesny, Pinsoglio, Buffon; De Sciglio, Chiellini, De Ligt, Alex Sandro, Danilo, Bonucci, Rugani, Demiral; Pjanic, Khedira, Ramsey, Matuidi, Rabiot, Bentancur, Muratore; Ronaldo, Dybala, Douglas Costa, Cuadrado, Higuain, Bernardeschi, Olivieri, Vaioni, Zanimacchia
