Asante Kotoko Christopher Nettey says he wants to meet the huge impacts created by the club's former right backs as he seeks to become a cult hero in the Ghana Premier League.

The enterprising full-back is drawing inspiration from Frank Amankwah, Aziz Ansah, Samuel Inkoom, Harrison Afful and Amos Frimpong.

In his debut season, the former Attram de Visser players has been one of the top and consistent performers in Maxwell Konadu's side.

He managed 13 starts in his 14 appearances before the suspension of the league.

''There is no club in Ghana that has produced more quality right-backs for the league and the Black Stars than Kotoko. Talk of Frank Amankwah, Aziz Ansah, Samuel Inkoom, Harrison Afful and very recently Amos Frimpong. I was stepping into big shoes when I joined and the zeal to live up to the quality shown by these legends motivates me a lot,'' Nettey told Kotoko Express App.

''I am also very confident. I trust in myself and my qualities. Besides, I was stepping into a bigger club which has money and passionate supporters.

''They are the type that can make a player so comfortable when he performs well and otherwise when he does not. I wanted my story to be like the former and that also motivated me a lot.''
