Steve Pollack has finally inked a one-year renewable contract with Berekum Chelsea bringing to end speculations of his imminent departure.

The English was reported to be considering quitting the reigning Premier League champions but now says it was never an option even though he expressed concerns over the club’s inability to put their principled agreement on paper.

“I never contemplated leaving the club, I don’t know where those rumours came from,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I raised some concerns over me not putting pen to paper but that has now been done and dusted because I have signed the deal so it is no longer an issue.”

Chelsea currently occupy seventh position on the Premier League with five points and are in desperate need of points to keep up with tearing away giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
