Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew has been left out of Ghana's squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya on September 8.

The 26-year-old is among high profile players, who have been yanked from the squad.

It's unclear the reasons for the decision to axe the Crystal Palace new-boy but its widely reported the Ghanaian coach wants to build a new team ahead of the Nations Cup in Cameroon next year.

Jordan's elder brother Andre as well as captain Asamoah Gyan and Abdul Baba Rahman have also been omitted from the squad.

The Black Stars will take on Kenya in their next Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on September 8.
