Left-back Jason Davidson has become the fourth defender to join Perth Glory ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Davidson has signed a one-year contract to play in the A-League for the first time.
He has spent his entire senior career so far in Europe, most recently having a loan spell with Slovenian side Olimpija Ljubljana where he won a league and cup double.
New Perth coach Tony Popovic has put the emphasis on bolstering the club's defence in the off-season - the club conceded 50 goals last term, the second-most in the A-League.
Australia international Davidson played for the Socceroos at both the 2014 World Cup and when they won the Asian Cup on home soil the following year.
The 27-year-old said he was excited by what Popovic and Glory football director Jacob Burns were building at the club.
"I think the squad that's being assembled can accomplish big things in the A-League," he added. "For me, it's a chance to make an impression on home soil after being overseas for so many years and hopefully get back into the national team."
The other defenders to have been signed by Perth since the end of last season are Ivan Franjic and Matthew Spiranovic, who were Davidson's teammates in the 2015 Asian Cup, and former fringe Socceroo Tomislav Mrcela.
Davidson wants to get his place back in the Australia squad under new coach Graham Arnold, saying: "That's a massive goal of mine with the Asian Cup coming up and I think I've joined the right club, with the right manager, to make that happen."
Perth are 12/1 to win the 2019 Grand Final.
The Glory are 25/1 to win the minor premiership.
