Desperate Rajevac applies for Kenya coaching post

Published on: 02 August 2012

Former Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has applied to be coach of Kenya's national team.

But the Kenyan Federation should be aware of the insatiable Serb who was last sacked as coach of Qatar.

Rajevac had a successful two-year spell with the Black Stars including a quarter-final berth at the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals.

In September 2010, he twisted the Ghana Football Association around his fingers to sign for oil-rich Saudi club side Al Ahli when he had verbally agreed a contract extension.

His greed made him leave the Saudi side after five months to accept a lucrative offer to be Qatar national team coach.

The 58-year-old was sacked after seven months in-charge of the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals host.

Rajevac has been unattached since then and was overlooked for the Egypt job last September.
